Student Requirements:

  • Ensure students have water for hydration at training.
  • Younger students must have a parent/carer in attendance during training for personal needs.
  • It is a requirement that all students (except tigers) MUST have their own equipment for safety and hygiene reasons. This includes gloves and mouth guards, helmets and groin guards are optional.
  • This equipment can be purchased through the club or privately.
  • Equipment must be brought to every training session.

Grading Process:

Tigers:

    • He/she must attend a minimum of 10 sessions to grade or at the sensei’s discretion.
    • A grading will be offered at the end of each term for the students to show what he/she had learnt, and proceed to the next level.

White belt and above:

  • Gradings are offered twice a year to proceed to their next belt.
  • Gradings are by invitation only, by your sensei. Students must attend their required number of training sessions to be eligible to grade and must meet the grading curriculum requirement. (unless under special circumstances).
  • During the process of a term, students will be assessed for the ability to perform the requirements of the grading.
  • Their assessment will be done during class, according to the curriculum.
  • The curriculum will be available for viewing at the dojo.
  • Missed classes can be made up for the following session that week or next week.

Parent/Student Responsibility.

  • To inform Sensei if you are unwell or injured prior to training.
  • To notify Sensei if you have a diagnosed medical condition that may affect your ability to focus or train eg diabetes, epilepsy, asthma and behaviours. Measures can be put into place if we are aware of any medical history. ALL INFORMATION IS KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
  • Martial Arts is a contact/dangerous sport and involves the risk of serious injury, it is the parent/carer/student’s responsibility to warrant your child/you are physically and mentally sound to exercise, and have voluntarily elected to do so.
  • Whilst at Yaruki Martial Arts Dojo, I acknowledge both my property and my person shall be at my own risk, and I will not hold Yaruki Martial Arts or its staff, directors or volunteers liable for any personal injury or loss of property arising whilst on the premises.
  • Student injury insurance has not been elected by the club majority.

Sensei Responsibility:

  • To provide a safe learning environment.
  • To instruct students to be the best of my ability.
  • To treat each student as an individual and teach according to their ability.

Facebook/Groupon Deals:

  • At the completion of an advertised deal, the student is required to become a member of Yaruki Martial Arts student. Yaruki Martial Arts does not have a  membership fee only training fees and no contract.

Fees

Training fees are $220 a school term of 10 weeks and are subject to change with negotiation.

Fees are paid to the nominated bank account on your membership agreement or by cash.
